About this Motor-

This is easily the most popular motor for electric conversions, and there’s a reason for it. It’s very versatile and can be used on anything from Go-karts to street bikes to dirt bikes. It is quite simple to mount compared to other motors on the market, and due to its popularity, it has a vast range of aftermarket parts available, including mounts and sprockets. Its internal gear reduction means you can run OEM rear sprockets on most applications.

Our findings-

Although Qs rates this motor for 11000w, we find that they are capable of much more. We have been able to push upwards of 32kw on 96v but have found the limiting factor of this motor is heat. As it’s an air-cooled motor, sustained hard riding at 25kw+ can and will overheat this motor. But for us intermediate riders, it tends to be a non-issue.  

Although this motor is rated for 72v, we prefer to run 84v or 96v.
